INTENDED OUTCOMES
- Continuation of Freddie Fit sessions. Proposed 3 day plan this academic year to run team building and ideas for regular brain breaks. This will then be repeated with staff later in the year.
- To develop use of climbing wall across the school discreetly and during lunchtime activities.
- Greater participation in Inter schools competitions including events such as football, netball, exciting pop lacrosse and tag rugby.
- Specialist lunchtime coaches to be maintained to provide further access to sport related activities.
- Year 5 and 6 to be trained as sports leaders to assist and lead activities during playtime, lunchtime and sporting events at school. This will further engage children in physical activity every day.
- A sports council will be established and developed using the sport leaders from year 5 and 6, in a effort to ensure pupil voice regarding PE and sport.
- Resources to be purchased to help successfully run after school sporting activities in preparation for competitions in the future with regards to the SGO calendar for our area.
- After school of activities of broader range of sports are offered to the children. Helping raise the profile of physical education and sport within school.
- To purchase safety matting around traversing wall to enable full use in inclement conditions
- To develop games sessions across school to increase staff confidence in delivering high quality outdoor activities which support the acquisition of new skills for the children.
- Through a new initiative with Manchester City coaches, children will participate in a range of sporting activities to develop their own skills.
- Additionally, staff CPD will be developed and enhanced working alongside the Manchester City coaches. This will increase confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport.
- To develop a whole school approach to brain breaks using i moves, daily mile, wake up and shake up and cooperative learning games. To create a manageable, sustainable 30 minutes of activity a day for each child.
