Sara Dale - Vice Chair of Governors Local Authority Governor Member of: Personnel and Resources Committee & Finance Scrutiny Committee About me I am Vice Chair of the Governing Body and also a member of the Personnel and Resources Committee. I have a background in teaching and continue to work with children and adults with disabilities. I am link Governor for the Pay Committee and for SEND and Inclusion.

Naeema Kassam Co-Opted Governor About Me My name is Naeema Kassam and I am an A level Business teacher with over 10 years teaching experience in the FE and secondary sector. I also have a Master’s qualification in Education, Leadership and Management. I am looking forward to working with the governing body.

Rachel Jacques Headteacher Member of: Personnel and Resources Committee & Finance Scrutiny Committee About me My name is Rachel Jacques, I have been the Headteacher at Bowker Vale since 2012. I am really proud to be the Head of such a fantastic school. I work with the Governing Body to make sure our school is the very best it can be. We meet regularly to discuss and evaluate what is happening in school and why and to check that these actions all have a positive impact on the learning of all pupils.

Atika Butt - Chair of Governors Parent Governor Member of the Finance Committee About Me I am a stay at home mum to 2 girls. Before becoming a mum, I was an Operations Manager for a FTSE 100 property company and was based in Reading, Berkshire. This required me to be proficient in all aspects of business from finance to H&S to HR. I am also a BA Hons Business Studies student who has also attended Oxford University’s Summer School specialising in Retail. I hope to utilise my diverse experience to the BV Governing body.

Jen Griffin Associate Governor About Me My name is Jen Griffin. I have worked at Bowker Vale Primary since September 2012 and am currently the Deputy Headteacher and SENCo. I am part of the Monitoring and Standards Committee and work with the Governors on a wide range of school issues and information.

Geraldine Simon Co-opted Governor About Me My name is Geraldine Simon. I have been a solicitor specialising in family and children matters for the last 35 years. I am very excited to join the board of governers of such a happy and impressive school and hope that I can become fully-involved. |

Benjamin Lynch Co-Opted Governor About Me I am a Modern Languages graduate with experience of teaching in the UK and abroad. I have taught in all Key Stages from 1 to 5 and I am currently a Headteacher in Salford and have been a governor in both secondary and primary settings. |
