Money Sense
We are a Money Sense Accredited School, as we are committed to teaching our pupils how to use money safely and responsibly.
We have been completing activities from the NatWest My Money Sense website in our maths lessons, to help us with this.
We ran a parent workshop in which we showed parents the website mymoneysense.com. This website has a parents’ section, where you can download activities to do at home. There are also many activities, which the children can complete independently in the students' section of the website.
Money Sense Workshops
Year two and four completed Money Sense Workshops with the help of NatWest representatives.
Year two learnt about the choices associated with money - spending, saving or donating - and explored the difference between needs and wants. Year four investigated an identity theft and fraud crime and then presented a Crimewatch-style report to warn others of the dangers.
All of the children learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the workshops!
