Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to our website! I hope you find the information on here useful, the staff work really hard to keep it   up to date so please visit regularly! We appreciate any feedback! You are very welcome to visit our school to   look around or discuss any matter concerning your child. Please contact the school office to make an   appointment.

Our school is a fantastic place to be; we have wonderfully motivated pupils who love to learn and   excellent teachers who love to teach (and learn)!

Bowker Vale is a large, two form entry, successful community school catering for around 450 pupils aged from   3 to 11 years. Our last OfSTED (July 2017) judged our school to be ‘Good’ with many 'Outstanding' elements -   particularly the Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare of our pupils. We have a Specialist Resource   Provision (known as the Specialist Support Centre or SSC) on site that caters for 8 children with additional   social, emotional and/or mental health (SEMH) needs.

All of our Bowker Vale team are committed to our school 'Standard' - which states -

Today, I will be the best version of myself.

I will aim high, show integrity and be respectful, honest, fair, proud and kind.

All of our children know this standard, live by it, and are able to give examples of what all of these important words mean for us at our school. We use British Sign Language to sign this standard as well!

We hope that your child will be happy and successful during their time here.

The whole staff team aim to do the best for every child and family in the school and we know that parents, carers and family involvement plays an important part. We really value parental co-operation and support.

I look forward to seeing you!
