Swimming
In Year 4, the children are taken to swimming lessons every Thursday at Abraham Moss.
They are taught by two instructors, Julie and Danielle.
The aim of the swimming lessons is to enable each child to swim a length of the pool by the end of the year. Their weekly lessons focus on practicing technique and encouraging independence and ease in the water.
The lessons run every week, and on the last session of each term the children have a 'fun day' in the water. They are given floats, hoops, sinkers and a range of other fun equipment to play with in the pool.
