We have been advised by The Electoral Services Commission that the European Elections are to take place on Thursday 23rd May. As Bowker Vale Primary is an official polling station, the school will therefore be CLOSED to all pupils on this day.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly but as the site needs to be open all day (6am - 10pm) for access to members of the public, the risk assessment for school to remain open to pupils does not meet our strict safeguarding criteria.
