How you can help at home

Here are a variety of useful websites, which you can use at home, to help your child with their learning.

If you have any questions, please see any of the Year 6 team.

English

The Literacy Shed

At school, lots of our English work is based on our whole class texts. We also use visual literacy as an exciting stimulus for writing. The Literacy Shed is an encyclopedia of film clips and music videos, which will provide your child with nourishment for their writing. Simply click on 'The Literacy Shed', select a 'shed' and choose a video. Each video comes with ideas for writing as well as question prompts.
