Bowker Vale takes part in the Carbon Classroom 2015 at The Arndale Centre.

We were part of the first day along with Crumpsall Lane Primary School, the managing editor of the M.E.N & Lord Lieutenant of Manchester -Eamon O' Neal and Stockport council Leader Sue Derbyshire as well as the Arndale Centre managers.

The children who took part in the Carbon Classroom were.... Kian, Molly, Heather (6A);  Kaitlyn, Nicole, Isabella, Aymen, (6W); Kimberley, Raees, Mikey and Leah (4D); Joanna and Abeera (5M).

The children involved have been practising for the last few months, making sure they had plenty of knowledge about climate change and were confident to lead adults through various activities in the carbon classroom to help them learn about climate change. They were all fantastic and although initially a little wary about talking to the general public, all of them grew in confidence and overcame their nerves to help people learn about how important it is that we all do what we can. As Kian said " It is our future and we will be the one's left with this situation so we are the ones to do something about it!"

Joanna and Abeera actually wrote and even performed their own 'Rap Battle' between the Carbon Queen and Earth!
