A great week enjoyed by everyone. Here are the comments from the children of the week that they had. Below that, is our diary of the week that we had.

Maisie - PGL was amazing! It was really fun and we all worked as a team. The food was nice and filling. Lat year I didn't finish the activities, but this year I did!

Saffron - PGL was FANTASTIC! I've had one of the best times of my life. The food was good too. I've had the best time and I will never forget it.

Megyn - PGL is amazing. It's hard, but we got there. We definitely didn't like saying goodbye, especially to Dan.

Bethany - PGL was really fun, especially all of the activities and the staff. We all had nice sleeps, but we were all still really tired in the mornings.

Ria - PGL was amazing. I loved all of the activities that we did. Some of them were quite scary and hard. I was exhausted in the mornings. I hated saying bye to Dan.

Navaeah - PGL was a great experience. The activities were fun and challenging. I never thought I was going to finish them, but I did, so I'm very proud of myself.

Teoni - PGL was an amazing experience. I loved every single minute of it. The hardest part was saying goodbye.

Courtney - PGL was so, so good. I would love to go again. It was my best experience.

Sana - PGL was so fun. We did lots of different things and the rooms were really comfy. I had a great time.

Humariaa - I really enjoyed PGL. We were never bored and always had something to do. I'm really glad I came.

Manar - PGL was very good. We chatted a lot at night in our bedrooms. We had fun!

Yumna - I had a great time at PGL. It was really fun. The best was the Zipwire! Some of them really were quite scary!

Jakob - PGL was so awesome. All of the instructors were so friendly and I loved the Giant Swing!

Kieran - PGL was epic! All of the instructors were really kind and friendly. P.S. Go on the High Ropes!

Sami - PGL was an amazing, epic, fantastic time! The activities were easy and fun.

Azima - I had so much fun! I nearly completed everything. PGL was a very friendly and kind place. The food was delicious and yummy! The activities were really fun. My favourites were Zipwire, Trapeze and Giant Swing. The rooms were comfortable.

Monday

We arrived after a smooth journey with no delays and the sun was shining! Firstly, we had lunch and then enjoyed an afternoon of games including football, skipping, basketball and disco dancing! We've settled into our rooms and had our first meal, which was delicious and we've all eaten well. This evening we played Ambush (Hide and seek in the dark!). We're really looking forward to tomorrow and every one of us is in good spirits.

Tuesday

Today has been our first full day of activities, which were High Ropes, Archery, All Aboard and Orienteering. High Ropes is a nerve-wracking obstacle course 12 metres above the ground! It takes a lot of courage and determination to complete the course, but most of us did and many went round more than once! All Aboard is another climbing activity that requires a lot of teamwork as three people try to climb a pole with a number of platforms to reach. Orienteering gave us the chance to work on our map skills as we had to hunt down targets. Archery is always a great favourite.

We have played a number of games today including Cut The Cake, Screaming Race and Find The Passport.

The food has once again been excellent, providing us with the energy for a non-stop day!

In the evening we played Wacky Races in teams. Lots of fun and silliness! We’re looking forward to more excitement tomorrow.

Wednesday

Everyone has had another great day: confidence is really growing. Today we have taken part in Zipwire, Sensory Trail, Abseiling and Trapeze. Zipwire was really exciting as we had to throw ourselves off a platform and slide down a wire to the bottom of a hill. Sensory trail involves working as a team whilst blindfolded to complete an obstacle course. It’s a really strange but fun experience. Abseiling let us all show off our new found courage as we moonwalked down a 12 metre wall. Some managed big jumps! With Trapeze we had to climb up a telegraph pole and clamber on to a small square platform, before standing up and taking a leap of faith to try to grab a metal bar a few feet away.

This evening we’ve sang around a campfire and then headed to bed. Our busy days are making us tired, but we can’t wait for tomorrow!

Thursday

Sunny again today! We packed in lots of activities – Aeroball, Vertical Challenge, Giant Swing and Climbing. Aeroball is an energetic, fast action game that takes place on trampolines. It’s like basketball with lots of bouncing! Vertical Challenge is another climbing activity where you have to tackle a rope ladder, tyres, climbing wall and netting as you make your way up to the top. It’s quite demanding but a lot of fun. Giant Swing is just as it sounds – a giant swing! We were pulled up by a rope and then we released ourselves to swing down. It’s an amazing feeling (Ria, Ms Dobson and Miss Aaron felt sick but proud afterwards!) The Climbing Wall was as fun as ever with lots of us really challenging ourselves.

As it’s our last night, we’ve had a disco and really impressed on the dance floor (Teoni, Navaeah and Mr Worrall!) We’re sad it’s our last night but looking forward to seeing everyone.

Friday

Our last morning at PGL. After clearing our rooms, we had breakfast and there were still two more activities to complete: Problem Solving and Jacob's Ladder. We had to work as a team in Problem Solving, making plans to complete a number of tricky activities together. Jacob's Ladder also required teamwork. Using each other's hands, legs, wires and anything else, we had to get each other to the top of a huge rope ladder. We then had our final lunch, before making a sad farewell to PGL and Dan, our group leader. We were disappointed to leave, but couldn't wait to get back to our families, knowing that we all had memories that would last for a lifetime.
