School Meals

From September 2021, our school kitchen is run by Mellors Catering Service. Mellors Catering Services are an award-winning family business, established back in 1840 as a local bakery, and is now the first choice contract caterer in the north for staff restaurants, schools and colleges. Please click here to read more about Mellors Catering Services.

Our school meals are freshly prepared and cooked on site each day. Meals cost £2.65 per day (£13.25 per week) and provide a healthy, balanced choice of nutritious dishes that support our commitment as a Healthy School.

Children are supervised and supported by our dedicated Lunchtime Organisers, who help to ensure that lunchtime is a safe, enjoyable and positive part of the school day.

If your child has any dietary requirements we will be able to accommodate these. Please read and complete the attached form the Mellors Allergen Pack. If your child does have any dietary requirements you will need to complete which is included in the Allergen Pack and you will also need to come and speak to the school office.

Children are also welcome to bring a healthy packed lunch from home. We are a ‘Healthy School’ and therefore sweets and fizzy drinks are not permitted.

No Nuts in School

Please note we have a number of children with serious allergies in school.

Because of this we operate a 'no nuts policy’. Our school kitchen is a nut free zone and we respectfully inform families that no nut products must come into school in a packed lunch. This includes products such as nut cereal bars, peanut butter and nutella spread.
