Specialist Support Centre

Welcome to the SSC class page. The class teachers in the Specialist Support Centre are Miss Allely and Miss O'Keeffe. Our Teaching Assistants, Mr Jones, Miss Taylor and Miss Kmetova  support us with our learning. Our school is a UNICEF 'Rights Respecting' School. The SSC class know a lot about UNICEF and the work they do. At the start of the year we create our class charter which helps us to work as a team and take individual responsibility for our actions.

'Children’s education should help them fully develop their personalities, talents and abilities. It should teach them to understand their own rights, and to respect other people’s rights, cultures and differences. It should help them to live peacefully and protect the environment.' (Article 29)

Autumn Term

We are really looking forward to the start of this term and welcoming back our SSC class and new pupil. All the grown ups and Chester the rabbit have really missed you all.

During the Autumn term we were able to welcome two new children to our classroom. The SSC class worked really hard on their return to school after the Summer holidays. As a class we worked really hard on our team work and making new children feel welcome.

Spring Term

During the Spring Term, the SSC class were split into two groups, with both groups completing school and home based learning. We have been really impressed by how hard everyone has worked and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone back together on the 8th of March.
